Water Over the Grave

Daedri Harktree is being haunted by the ghost of his father. Literally.

This would seem an unlikely and unbelievable turn of events for just about anyone else, but Daedri—a Paranormal Inspector for the Society—isn’t sure if he’s terrible at his job or just slowly having a nervous breakdown. Working hard not to crack under the strain of the overwhelming grief of his father's recent passing, not to mention a career and a love life that aren't going exactly to plan lately, Daedri takes on a case that seems on the surface to be just a simple haunting—but, just like the rest of the unlikely events of his life lately, it’s anything but. He inadvertently finds himself cracking open a decades-old cold case of a murdered boy, a turn for which he is completely unprepared. The new twist to the case leads him to another member of the Paranormal department, the sweet and unassuming newcomer Aurora, who turns out to be pretty well connected with the right people it takes to help solve a cold homicide and finally let a dead child rest—never mind the fact that the people Aurora has connections with just so happen to be dead, too.

No Stranger to Violence

Aviira McCaslin is one of the youngest and brightest detectives her agency's ever seen when she gets the case of a lifetime: a chance to go undercover with a clandestine group of human supremacists known for their brutal violence against Ancients. She eagerly takes the assignment and cautiously begins to navigate the secretive world of the Hunters, led by the charismatic but cunningly dangerous Brendan Byrne. But Aviira begins to learn the deeper she delves into their secrets, the harder it will be to dig herself out of them. And as the stakes grow higher and the situation around her becomes more volatile, she realizes that it's the secrets of her own past that could end up being her undoing, that no matter how careful she is to erase the truth of herself, all things that hide below the water eventually come back to the surface.

Shadows of Old Ghosts (Bloodlines, Book 1)

The dead bodies were the least of their worries.

When veteran detectives Aviira and Jirel, both dangerously close to losing their jobs, respond to the discovery of a few bodies hidden in a cellar, they aren't expecting to find that the deceased haven't exactly been resting in peace. Once their investigation leads them to a cursed police officer and a young woman brutally murdered with seemingly no explanation, they begin to realize their killer may not be flesh and blood. But catching the true suspect behind the bizarre attacks turns out to be easier said than done when they find themselves eye to eye with curses, witchcraft, ghosts, and cold-blooded murder, all while keeping their personal demons well-tamed...and finding a way to keep the bodies from piling up while they're at it.

Snowblind (Bloodlines, Book 2)

The past has come back to haunt Aviira.

A year and a half after the most bizarre case of her career as a detective for the Society, Aviira's life is finally at peace - until her sister is violently abducted on the night of her birthday. Aviira's world is turned upside down when she learns that she and the kidnapper have a history, and he's out for revenge. She quickly learns that she must play by his demented rules if she wishes to see her sister alive again - but it will come at a cost. As she and her partner descend together into the dark and murderous world of a history she thought she'd left behind, she must come to terms with the actions of her past and decide what she's willing to sacrifice in order to keep her sister safe - even if that means sacrificing herself.

Rituals (Bloodlines, Book 3)

Some secrets were meant to stay buried.

Back to work for the first time after their violent brush with death, detectives Aviira and Jirel take a case that seems straightforward enough: bring home a grief-stricken teenage runaway who may have gotten involved in a dark-arts-obsessed cult. But the trail quickly goes cold as the clues are thin and everyone has a secret to keep about the whereabouts of an innocent girl. Aviira and Jirel find themselves emotionally invested in a tangled mess of lies and false leads all while some of Aviira’s own lies make matters even more complicated once she realizes that some of her secrets have fallen into the wrong hands: Brendan Byrne, behind bars but obsessed with finding the identity of a child he believes to be his. With nothing left to lose Brendan makes it clear he will do anything to get what he wants--but unfortunately for him, so will Aviira.

Bloodmoon (Bloodlines, Book 4)

The abductions were only the beginning.

Three young women have disappeared without a trace out of their affluent suburban neighborhoods by the time Special Agent Priscilla Greene with the FBI comes to Aviira to request her assistance on the case. Still basking in the excitement of a secret elopement, she and Jirel are suddenly faced with working separately for the first time since they met. Aviira struggles with the distance from Jirel as she tries to get ahead in her unsettling case, all the while increasingly caught off her guard by the imminent and mysterious bloodmoon, a strange celestial event that she seems to have some deep connection with. Worse, as she and her new partner dig deeper into their suspect they find that in the time it has taken to find him, he has been a step ahead of them, an error that turns critical when they realize too late that the next victim on his list has been Aviira all along.
